experienced UMass defender with a comeback angle
Taj Jones is a redshirt freshman athlete for Massachusetts, listed at 6-2, 200, and he earned UMass’s 2026 Comeback Player of the Year Award, which hints at real resilience and buy-in. His appeal is less about flashy stat lines and more about versatility, size, and a program-trusted mindset in the defensive rotation. If you want a DE who brings toughness, developmental upside, and a strong response to adversity, Jones is worth a look.
