Proven, Versatile Special-Teams Veteran with UAB Roots
Ty Long is a retired pro specialist who gave UAB a rare dual-value weapon: school-record kicking production and NFL/CFL experience as both a kicker and punter. At UAB, he finished as the program’s all-time points leader and most accurate high-volume scorer in school history, and at the pro level he was consistently efficient, including a 47.2-yard punting average in the NFL and a career reputation for reliability. If you want a calm, battle-tested specialist with proven leg strength and big-game steadiness, he’s exactly the type who raises a room’s baseline.
