a tough, defense-first CSU Bakersfield big man with a comeback story
Ronne Readus is a 6-foot-9 center for CSU Bakersfield whose value has long been tied to physical rebounding, interior defense, and energy around the rim; in a 2019-20 game he logged 6 points and 6 rebounds in 21 minutes, a snapshot of the low-usage, high-effort role he can fill. He also carries major context beyond the box score: he suffered life-threatening injuries in a 2021 car accident, so any evaluation should factor in his recovery and availability rather than just stats. If your team wants toughness, size, and a player with real resilience, he’s a compelling fit.
