Freshman LB with Elite High School Tackle Intensity
Dustin Russell, a 6-2, 230-pound freshman linebacker for Savannah State, brings a rare, high-intensity tackling pedigree from Newnan High School where he recorded 120 tackles and 12 sacks in his senior year, earning First Team All-State honors. Unlike typical freshmen who rely on raw speed, Russell differentiates himself with a physical, contact-heavy style and a 'first-impact' mentality that translates to immediate defensive reliability. His injury history is clean, and his personality is defined by relentless work ethic and county-level leadership. You should care because he offers a proven, high-volume tackler ready to fill gaps immediately, making him an ideal fit for teams needing a physical, intensity-driven linebacker who doesn't just chase but dominates the line of scrimmage.
