Malik Elion brings veteran slot speed and track-bred burst to Tennessee
In the 2026 season, Malik Elion is listed by Tennessee as a redshirt senior wide receiver at 5-foot-6 and 162 pounds, giving the Volunteers an experienced, compact playmaker with real short-area quickness and return-game value potential.[1] His profile stands out less for raw size and more for versatility and explosiveness, with prior Tennessee information and external profiles pointing to a multi-sport athletic background and a sprinter’s acceleration that can stress defenders after the catch.[1][2] He’s the kind of depth piece who can fit a creative offense if it wants toughness, speed, and hidden yards rather than a big-bodied target.[1][2]
