Harland Bower Brings a Junkyard-Dog Edge to Georgia Southern’s Front Seven
Bower is known for being an authentic, high-energy defensive coach with a “junkyard dog” reputation, the kind of steady, intense presence that fits a physical, downhill defense. He’s been praised for developing edge players and helping produce All-ACC defenders at Duke in 2025, which suggests he values technique, toughness, and consistent effort over flash. If you want a coach who can amplify pass-rush detail and competitive fire, he looks like a strong fit.
