Jake Walker brings proven EIU production and workhorse upside to the Panthers backfield
Jake Walker is worth watching because he already showed he can be a real Eastern Illinois difference-maker: ESPN lists him with 23 carries for 85 yards in 2024, while EIU’s own bio says he finished his career ranked No. 15 on the program’s all-time rushing list with 1,893 yards and posted a season-best 182-yard game at UT Martin. His profile suggests a reliable, physical runner with proven production against OVC-level competition, making him a sensible fit for a team that wants a back who can handle volume and deliver chunk plays.
