high-IQ, technically sound line anchor with NFL-caliber pass protection
Fortner has the profile of a dependable interior lineman: at Kentucky he was a 6-6, 300-pound fifth-year offensive guard, and his game is built on consistency, intelligence, and clean technique rather than flash.[1] He later showed NFL-ready pass protection upside, posting a 72.5 PFF pass-blocking grade in 2025, which ranked 7th among qualified centers, while allowing just 11 total pressures.[2] If you need a polished, tough, coachable blocker who raises the floor of an offensive front, Fortner is the kind of fit that matters.
