Michigan State fullback Collin Lucas: the unsung blocker who carved out a real role
Collin Lucas was a former walk-on who developed into a dependable Michigan State fullback, appearing in 20 career games with seven starts and earning praise as a gritty, team-first presence in the 2018 season. His value wasn’t flashy production; it was assignment soundness, blocking reliability, and the kind of intensity coaches love when they need a tone-setter in short-yardage and downhill run schemes. If your team wants a low-drama, high-effort fullback who helps the offense function, Lucas fits the bill.
