UTRGV’s Harrison Thayer is a durable sophomore arm with strike-throwing value
Thayer has already shown he can work deep into games for UTRGV, highlighted by a 7.2-inning relief win against Stephen F. Austin and a season-high 6.2 innings at McNeese in 2026, which points to real stamina and bullpen versatility. The sophomore right-hander is built like a starter at 6-foot-3 and was recognized for Academic All-District work, while his high-school résumé included leading District 25-5A in strikeouts as a junior. If you want a dependable, competitive pitcher who can log innings and attack hitters, he looks like a strong fit.[2][3]
