Kansas linebacker with size, special-teams value, and a brief Jayhawk cameo
Bastida’s Kansas profile is more about upside and depth than proven production: he saw his first career action at linebacker and on special teams for the Jayhawks, and KU listed him as a linebacker after signing him out of Deerfield Beach, where he was recognized as a defensive standout. [2] His biggest differentiators are positional versatility and early special-teams utility, but his college résumé is limited, so a team would be buying traits and development potential more than game tape.
