Army’s D.J. Blackledge is a depth RB with a quiet profile and a special-teams flashback
D.J. Blackledge’s current Army profile is more about depth and opportunity than headline stats: public stat pages show limited college usage, with just 5 games played across 2 seasons, while Army’s 2026 offense has been overwhelmingly run-driven and explosive in a Week 1 59-3 win over Bryant. Blackledge’s calling card is that he fits Army’s physical, assignment-heavy system, and his value likely comes from reliability, toughness, and special-teams versatility rather than volume. If you want a rugged fit for a military-style ground game, he’s worth a closer look.
