Jerome Rice III brings veteran linebacker grit and production to Charleston Southern
Jerome Rice III is a proven, physical linebacker for Charleston Southern with a blue-collar edge: in the 2021 season he led the Buccaneers in tackles for loss with 6.5, and in 2022 he logged six total stops in the season finale. He’s been praised for setting the tone defensively, and his background as a multi-sport, high-tackle high school standout hints at the motor and toughness that make him valuable in run support and behind the line of scrimmage. If a team wants an experienced, instinctive LB who plays with effort and attitude, Rice III fits the bill.
