Katie Borowicz brings tough, low-turnover lead-guard traits to Minnesota
Borowicz is a savvy Minnesota guard with real point-guard instincts: in 2022-23 she started 17 of 29 games and averaged 8.5 points, while earlier at Minnesota she posted 7.4 points, 2.4 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game in Big Ten play. Her differentiators are her competitiveness, ability to create pressure defense, and proven high-level scoring résumé from Roseau High School, where she topped 2,000 points and earned three all-state honors. She is a strong fit for teams valuing poise, pace control, and defensive disruption, though her medically retired status means availability is the key concern.
