K-State's 2014 Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year CB
Danzel McDaniel, a towering 6-2, 205-pound cornerback from Kansas State, exploded onto the scene in 2014 as Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year, earning top-10 national tandem nods alongside SS Dante Barnett for shutdown coverage and physicality. His length, ball skills, and 'duck & cover' instincts made QBs think twice, ideal for teams needing a versatile, high-motor CB who thrives in press-man schemes—though his career was cut short post-2015, his proven Big 12 pedigree screams NFL-project potential if back on the radar.
