Sandro DeAngelis was a clutch, battle-tested Nebraska kicker who earned his spot the hard way
In his Nebraska years, Sandro DeAngelis stood out as a tough, reliable placekicker who overcame early injury and inconsistency to become the starter for three seasons, a sign of real resilience and competitive edge. He later became the CFL’s all-time most accurate kicker at 83.8%, which reinforces the kind of composure and clean technique that translate well to pressure situations. For a team, the appeal is simple: dependable mechanics, mental toughness, and a proven ability to rebound when the spotlight gets hot.
