Alabama’s old-school glue guy, not a stats monster
Baron Huber was a multi-year Alabama fullback and special-teams piece from 2006-2009, known more for lead-blocking, toughness, and community leadership than box-score volume; in 2008 Alabama’s run game averaged 184.6 rushing yards per game, and Huber was a key part of that physical identity. He was also a two-time Derrick Thomas Community Service Award recipient and a member of the 2009 national title team, which tells you the fit: dependable, selfless, and intense—exactly the kind of tone-setter coaches trust when they want dirty work done right.
