Skyler Luxa brings rare DB versatility for South Dakota State
Skyler Luxa is a versatile defensive back who has already started at both safety and linebacker for South Dakota State, which signals a physical, assignment-sound player who can fit multiple roles in a defense.[1][2] In 2011, he appeared in all 11 games and made eight starts, showing he was trusted to handle meaningful snaps throughout the season.[1] At 5'11" and 210 pounds, he profiles as a sturdier, hybrid defender rather than a pure cover specialist, making him a useful fit for teams that value toughness, flexibility, and dependable experience.[2]
