ULM Warhawks DB with Untapped Athletic Pedigree and Coaching Ties
Dominique Gladney, a defensive back for the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, brings intriguing upside as the son of Mercyhurst University football coach Fredrick Gladney, who boasts a track record of developing secondaries (solid 2023 season at Mercyhurst). While specific college stats are sparse, his family connection to high school talent pipelines—like Woodlawn HS alumni with 46 tackles and 3 INTs in 2006—hints at inherited ball skills and speed. A potential sleeper with differentiators in football IQ from dad’s schemes and raw athleticism; ideal fit for teams needing versatile, coachable DBs ready to compete in the Sun Belt.
