Chase Blease brings strikeout upside and starter-style volume to UIW
Blease’s calling card is simple: he can miss bats and handle real innings, striking out 33 hitters in 35.1 innings across 20 appearances as a 2024 freshman at Yavapai College. That profile suggests a right-hander with usable pitchability and enough competitiveness to stay in games, making him attractive if you want a development arm who can grow into more. The main question for a team is ceiling versus consistency, but the early production points to a pitcher worth tracking for upside and depth.
