a proven Hornets forward with rebound-first grit and SWAC pedigree
Aniyah Smith brings real value as a battle-tested Alabama State forward, with an early-career résumé that included SWAC Freshman of the Year honors and a reputation for stuffing the stat sheet on the glass. In the 2021-22 season, she posted 72.0% shooting, 147 rebounds, and 14 double-figure scoring games, showing efficient scoring plus physical rebounding punch. She’s the kind of frontcourt player who adds toughness, board work, and low-drama reliability—exactly the sort of fit coaches love when they need a hard-nosed 4 who can compete every night.
