Physical, high-motor linebacker with a football-to-lacrosse edge
Hatkewitz is a former Stony Brook linebacker who also brought a physical, punishing style to the lacrosse field, and that versatility is his calling card. At Stony Brook football, he was listed as a starting outside linebacker, but he also missed a lacrosse season with a broken hand before returning to add toughness and ground-ball production. His differentiator is clear: he plays with intensity, leverage, and a hitter’s mentality, making him a fit for teams that value contact, reliability, and multi-sport toughness over pure flash.
