Caleb Sandstrom is a disruptive, bendy edge piece who keeps showing up in big moments
In the 2025 season, Caleb Sandstrom emerged as a useful Appalachian State front-seven playmaker, finishing with 24 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and a forced-recovered fumble in a clutch win over Marshall. He’s valuable because he brings more than box-score juice: he’s been used as an edge defender, has the size to hold up, and has shown feel for timing pressure and tipping passes into turnovers. The fit looks solid for teams wanting an energetic, versatile disruptor rather than a pure stat-hunter.
