Ball-Hawking CB with Big-Play Juice
In the 2023 season, Caleb Nelson was a second-team All-Big Sky cornerback after starting all 11 regular-season games, and he flashed instant-impact playmaking with a 98-yard pick-six in his first game at Sacramento State. He finished that year with strong production in coverage, including 12 pass breakups, and was also recognized as a preseason All-Big Sky and Phil Steele preseason All-American honoree. The big takeaway: he looks like a competitive, instinctive outside corner who can erase throws and flip momentum, though his 2023 season ended with an injury that kept him out of the FCS playoffs.
