steady Western Carolina backcourt veteran with scoring pop
Shaketia Barnes is a seasoned Western Carolina guard who brought real shot-making value in the 2004-05 season, averaging 6.5 points per game while hitting 74.8% from the free-throw line and showing she could spike for bigger nights, including 14 points in a January 2005 conference game.[1][9] Her profile reads as a dependable, experienced backcourt piece rather than a volume star: enough scoring touch to punish defenses, enough poise to fit a team concept, and a history of contributing in key moments.[1][14]
