big-bodied lefty with swing-and-miss promise, but 2026 has been a blank slate so far
Jack Zang is a 6-foot-4, 218-pound left-handed pitcher for App State who arrived with strikeout upside after posting 73 Ks in 51 innings and a 3.35 ERA at Schoolcraft College in 2024. He was limited by injury in 2025, making just two starts, and did not appear in 2026, so the appeal is still the arm talent and starter’s frame rather than current production. If your team values a power lefty with previous swing-and-miss stuff and room to rebound, he’s worth monitoring; if you need immediate innings, the recent availability track record is the question mark.
