Prairie View A&M DB Darius Hawkins Brings Verified Speed and Experience
Darius Hawkins is a compact, senior defensive back at Prairie View A&M who stands out for verified athletic traits — notably a reported 4.39-second 40-yard dash at his Pro Day — and the kind of quick-twitch explosiveness that translates well to coverage and special teams. At 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds, he profiles as a physical, high-motor DB with enough burst to fit in an aggressive scheme. His appeal is less about flashy stat totals and more about measurable speed, versatility, and veteran depth for a secondary needing reliable, competitive defenders.
