FAU’s veteran DB with program familiarity and special-teams grit
Grant Helm has been a depth-and-development defensive back for Florida Atlantic, valued more for reliability, familiarity with the program, and willingness to contribute in the dirty-work phase than for flash. In the 2014 season, FAU’s roster notes show he handled both defense and special teams and finished with 18 career tackles, including a five-tackle game and a stop for loss, which hints at a player who competed hard and stayed ready when called upon. If you need a steady, coach-trustable DB with some veteran texture, Helm fits the mold.
