Sophia Camacho brings local grit and steady catching depth for FAU
Sophia Camacho is a hometown junior catcher for Florida Atlantic who has already shown value in the 2026 season by appearing in 29 games and handling the backstop duties in key spots, including seven putouts in a win over UMass. Her game profile leans toward reliability, local toughness, and team-first impact rather than headline-grabbing offense, and she also helped Spanish River win its first-ever state title in high school. If you want a catcher with buy-in, poise, and defensive upside, she’s a solid fit.
