Deep-safe floor general with little public stat noise
Kevin Walz is listed with Eastern Illinois as a safety, but public stat pages show limited current game-log detail, so his value reads more like role and fit than box-score flash[1]. The main takeaway is that he’s part of a defensive backfield built around discipline and versatility, which typically matters for a safety who has to communicate, tackle cleanly, and prevent explosives. For a team, he’s worth watching if you want a steady, assignment-sound defensive piece rather than a headline-grabbing stat collector.[1][5]
