Darius Gatson brings steady guard play, defense, and playmaking for Sam Houston
In the 2012 season, Darius Gatson was a reliable Sam Houston guard who started all 32 games, ranked second in the Southland Conference with 4.5 assists per game as a junior, and added 6.7 points per game plus 31 steals for a defense-first edge[1]. Earlier roster notes also described him as a good shooter and a reserve who could impact games with toughness and effort, while a 2011 preview listed him at 7.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists over eight games[9][14].
