High-IQ Duke guard with elite passing pedigree and proven floor leadership
Wanisha Smith is best known for being a true distributor: at Duke, she totaled 496 career assists and set the program’s freshman assists record with 154 in 2004-05, while also ranking among the school’s all-time scoring leaders with 1,256 points. That combination of playmaking, steady guard skills, and veteran-level poise is what made her valuable, not just box-score production. For a team, she profiles as a high-IQ fit who elevates teammates, handles pressure well, and brings a track record of winning-impact basketball rather than flash alone.
