Daniel Bettis brings versatility and leadership to Appalachian State’s tight end room
Bettis is valuable because he offers **two-way versatility** and a proven competitive edge: Appalachian State has used him at tight end and defensive end, and his background includes senior co-captain duties and a history of contributing on both sides of the ball. He is the kind of fit teams like for toughness, flexibility, and special-situations value rather than pure volume stats. Public stats are limited in the search results, so the clearest read is that Bettis projects as a gritty, adaptable piece who can help a roster with effort, physicality, and willingness to do the dirty work.
