Physical, downhill Montana State linebacker with proven playmaking bite
Chase Gazzerro has long been a tone-setting defender for Montana State, with the kind of physicality that shows up in both run support and open-field collisions. In the 2009 season, he was still flashing the same aggressive, high-intensity style that made him a starting Sam linebacker, and earlier Montana State notes highlighted his 123-yard rushing homecoming in a 2006 scrimmage, underscoring his athleticism beyond defense. He’s best viewed as a tough, instinctive linebacker who brings effort, violence, and versatility—exactly the sort of fit coaches like when they want a defender who plays with edge and doesn’t shy away from contact.
