FIU DB Matt Castillo brings a steady, physical presence in the secondary
Matt Castillo has shown he can be a dependable, assignment-sound defensive back for FIU, with earlier-action experience that included 40 tackles and seven starts in the 2004 season. His value is less about flash and more about steadiness, toughness, and willingness to handle cornerback duties when called upon. For a team looking for a disciplined DB who can contribute in coverage and support the run, he looks like a useful fit; the biggest draw is his proven game experience rather than headline-grabbing ball production.
