Gary Smith is not the active San Jose State basketball guard people may be looking for
The available records point to Gary Smith as a former San Jose State player from the early 2000s, not a current 2025-26 Spartans guard, so there is no reliable current-season production, ranking, or role to evaluate. The key takeaway: this appears to be a name mismatch, and there isn’t verified evidence that a current San Jose State men’s basketball guard named Gary Smith is on the roster. If you meant a different SJSU guard, the fit question depends on the correct player’s minutes, shot creation, and defensive value.
