Chris Hayes brings special-teams toughness and developmental upside to Portland State
Chris Hayes is a safety for Portland State with a profile built more on physicality and reliability than splashy stats, making him a useful fit for teams that value downhill tackling, special-teams grit, and steady assignment football. His most relevant recent college bio in the search results shows he previously played defensive line at Southern Miss and worked mostly on special teams, which suggests versatility and a team-first mentality. Because available public stat lines are sparse, the bigger takeaway is his experience across roles and willingness to do the dirty work.
