Jackson Blackwell brings Baylor a power-built, high-upside interior DL with camp-tested pop
Blackwell is a Baylor defensive lineman whose calling card is raw power and disruptive burst in the trenches: he was a three-star recruit, ranked by 247Sports as the No. 79 defensive lineman nationally and No. 98 overall prospect in Texas, and he earned Under Armour Camp defensive lineman MVP honors. In his 2024 high school season, he posted 33 tackles, eight QB hurries and three sacks after a strong junior year, showing a sturdy run-stopping frame and active hands. At 6-foot-3 and about 314-330 pounds, he looks like a plug-and-play interior mauler with real upside.
