Josh Knapp brings VMI a rangy, playmaking DB with proven ball skills
In the 2023 season, Josh Knapp was one of VMI’s most disruptive defensive backs, finishing with 87 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 3.0 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble, after breaking out earlier with two interceptions in 2022. At 6-foot-3, he gives VMI length, physicality, and a downhill mentality that shows up in big moments, like his 10-tackle, sack-and-fumble-recovery outing in a 2023 win over Western Carolina. If you want a DB who tackles like a linebacker and has real ball production, Knapp is your guy.
