Liam Trainer brings proven, downhill linebacker production for Delaware
Trainer is a sturdy 6-foot-2, 235-pound fifth-year linebacker who has already shown he can be an every-down contributor at Delaware, with 61 tackles in both the 2022 and 2021 seasons and disruptive plays in the backfield, including 4.5 tackles for loss in 2022 and a team-leading 6.5 in 2021.[1] He stands out for consistency, physicality, and playmaking range rather than flash, and his willingness to trigger against the run and finish tackles makes him a good fit for a defense that values fundamentals, toughness, and reliability.[1][3]
