ECU’s sturdy, low-drama edge who earns his keep with effort and versatility
In his ECU days, Kiante Anderson stood out as a 6-foot-4, 243-pound defensive end with a linebacker’s background, a move-up-friendly frame, and a reputation for benefiting from the Pirates’ switch to a 4-2-5 front.[1][4] His differentiators were reliability and toughness: as a 2016 contributor, he played in 11 games, made six starts, and posted 20 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss, showing he could hold up on rushing downs and get into the backfield.[1] He also came in from St. Augustine’s as a walk-on transfer and later earned a scholarship, which says a lot about his work ethic and buy-in.[1]
