Experienced, physically imposing Redbirds lineman with a toughness-first profile
Erik Mikkelson is a 6-foot-3, 325-pound offensive lineman for Illinois State who has logged game action on the line and brings a clear old-school edge: he was recognized with the NFF Mental Toughness Award, a strong signal that coaches value his resilience and work ethic as much as his size. With no public season statistics tied to his position, his fit is best judged by traits that matter up front—physicality, durability, and mental toughness—rather than box-score production.
