Ben Bayer (UAlbany) | Versatile Linebacker with Ball-Hawking Instincts
As a senior at the University at Albany Great Danes, Bayer compiled 104 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and four interceptions—showcasing elite coverage skills and sideline-to-sideline range. His versatility (linebacker and fullback) and ball production make him a high-motor defender. However, durability concerns loom: a knee injury shortened his freshman season to just seven games. Scouts should view Bayer as a gritty, instinctive tackler with FCS-level production, but medical clearance and injury history will be critical evaluation factors for any program considering him.
