Brinston Williams brings compact, efficient utility to Western Illinois’ backfield
In the 2025 season, Brinston Williams gave Western Illinois a useful change-of-pace spark, totaling 26 carries for 137 rushing yards and 11 catches for 96 receiving yards, with a 5.3 yards-per-carry average and a 21-yard long run. He profiles as a versatile 6-foot-2, 220-pound back who can contribute as a runner and receiver, and his 2024 Mississippi State background plus academic-honor history suggest maturity and reliability. He looks like a fit if a team wants a steady, assignment-sound RB who can add value without needing every-touch volume.
