Tennessee Tech DB David McMahan: Under-the-radar name with program-level credibility
David McMahan’s current public profile is thin on fresh stat detail, but he’s listed as a Tennessee Tech defensive back and is associated with a Golden Eagles team that opened the 2026 season ranked No. 14 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25, which hints at a competitive environment and coaching staff trust. The bigger appeal is fit: a DB in a program playing winning football tends to bring discipline, toughness, and system familiarity over flashy box-score noise. In short, he looks like the kind of no-drama, assignment-sound defender teams like to plug into a real defense.
