Georgetown OL Jay Sylvester brings veteran size and quiet trench value
Jay Sylvester is a 6-3, 260-pound senior offensive lineman from Tampa’s Jesuit High School, giving Georgetown a seasoned, in-the-huddle presence on the edge of the Hoyas’ line. His value is less about box-score glamour and more about steady pass protection, run-game leverage, and the kind of mature, reliable frame coaches trust on game day. The biggest differentiator is experience: veteran OLs who can absorb contact, stay composed, and help stabilize the front are hard to replace.
