Blakeney brings swing-and-miss stuff and big-game flashes for Norfolk State
Ethan Blakeney has been one of Norfolk State’s more intriguing arms in the 2026 season, highlighted by a 5.0-inning, scoreless opener with seven strikeouts and a nine-strikeout start against Le Moyne, plus a strong summer in the Coastal Plain League where he led the league in fewest hits allowed and WHIP. His calling card is a mix of competitiveness, starter-level durability, and bat-missing ability, with enough two-way athleticism to keep the fit flexible as an RHP/OF. If you want a tough competitor with upside and real run-prevention chops, he’s a name to know.
