UIC’s veteran lefty and strikeout-driven anchor
In the 2026 season, Brandon Bak gave UIC a steady senior presence on the mound, making 16 starts and logging 88.2 innings with 71 strikeouts and five wins, while also ranking among the program’s all-time leaders in starts, strikeouts, and innings pitched. His signature outing remains the seven-inning no-hitter in 2025, a real eyebrow-raiser that shows his ceiling when his command is sharp. He profiles as a tough, competitive southpaw who can work deep into games, handle pressure, and lead a staff—exactly the kind of veteran arm that can make a team better fast.
