Ball State’s steady, ball-hawking veteran safety
In his Ball State career, Alex Knipp built a reputation as a durable, physical defensive back who could be counted on in big spots: he played in 51 games, finished with 145 tackles and 9 interceptions, and earned All-MAC recognition in 2007. What makes him interesting isn’t just the numbers—it’s the consistency, leadership, and knack for showing up around the ball. He looks like the kind of safety who fits a disciplined defense: reliable in coverage, active in run support, and battle-tested in high-leverage moments.
