Bruce Littleton is a high-upside freshman lefty with swing-and-miss stuff
Bruce Littleton, a freshman LHP for Southern Miss in the 2026 season, has already shown a sharp bat-missing profile in limited innings: he posted a 5.06 ERA with 17 strikeouts and only 4 walks over 10.2 innings, and he was trusted for a first collegiate start after flashing a 1.04 ERA and 0.81 WHIP in early relief work[1][8][14]. The appeal is the strikeout ability, left-handed look, and early evidence of poise in leverage, though his results were uneven once his workload grew[8][12]. He looks like a developmental arm with real upside rather than a finished product—exactly the kind of pitcher a staff can get excited about if it wants ceiling over certainty[2][14].
